It's obvious that IMPACT is going to compete heavily with EVO, and it will have to really be top-notch to beat, or even match, the level of tournament that EVO has become.
Our question to you is: What parts of EVO did you feel need improvement? What could have made it a more enjoyable experience? Were there any problems or things you didn't agree with? Please list them here, so that for IMPACT we can do our best to implement a strategy to fix similar things.

a lot of this is common knowledge...
people without cars were fucked at evo.. so having this event very close to a hotel (or even, IN the hotel's hall/ballroom) IS A MUST. The shuttle system at evo was flawed at times. Waiting over an hour for a shuttle is not fun. especially with coyotes running around 5 feet in front of you. i hate calpoly.
easy access to cheap inexpensive food. (fast food, quik-e-mart, liquor store, etc) hand out a map with the location of these places and a list of delivery restaurants in the area (pizza, chinese, etc). make it as easy as possible for the participants of the tournament.
have some walkie talkies or something for the tournament directors to communicate with each other. A list of cell phone numbers.. etc
some sort of live IRC update center for people who don't go.. it's annoying when someone calls you every 20 minutes for updates.
a fuckload of "FUN" multiplayer games so people aren't bored out of their minds. Along with the usual fighting games.. SSBM, Mario Party, Bomberman, sega tennis, etc take requests.. keep people happy.
an internet/LAN setup. Those computers in the halls at evo were used heavily. Browsing the , internet/srk message boards, checking email, games, chatting with friends back home, looking at the evo brackets... all good time killers.

ya know, Meriden has the perfect strip for something like that.
there are hotels all along the East Main St strip by where Jesters Courtyard used to be. not only that, but there is Taco Bell, McDonalds, Burger King, Wendy's, Dunkin Donuts, Boston Market, Pizza Wizzard, and there are even chinese buffets!
dude...give it a thought!

I feel the main problem with EVO was that it didn't have a stupid hateful narcissistic man-baby in charge, so IMPACT will be a welcome change!
